Hair SOS is a platform that connects clients seeking hair advice with professional stylists. We operate under the laws of England and Wales.

2. Definitions

• "Platform" means the Hair SOS website and all related services
• "Client" means a user who seeks hair consultation services
• "Stylist" means a professional who provides hair consultation services through our platform
• "Consultation" means the service provided by a Stylist to a Client through the Platform
• "Content" means any text, images, photos, or other materials uploaded to the Platform

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract to use our services.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete registration information
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.

4. Services

4.1 Platform Services

Hair SOS provides a platform for:

• Clients to submit hair concerns and receive professional advice
• Stylists to offer their expertise and earn income
• Secure messaging between clients and stylists
• Payment processing for consultation services

4.2 Nature of Advice

Advice provided through our platform is for informational purposes only. Stylists provide recommendations based on the information and images provided by clients. Results may vary, and we do not guarantee specific outcomes.

4.3 No Medical Advice

Our services do not constitute medical advice. For scalp conditions, hair loss, or other health-related concerns, please consult a healthcare professional or dermatologist.

5. Client Obligations

As a Client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate descriptions and clear photos of your hair concerns
• Communicate respectfully with stylists
• Pay for consultations as agreed
• Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Not share stylist advice publicly without permission

6. Stylist Obligations

As a Stylist, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your qualifications and experience
• Deliver professional, honest, and helpful advice
• Respond to consultations within a reasonable timeframe
• Maintain appropriate professional standards
• Not solicit clients outside the platform
• Comply with all applicable professional regulations

6.1 Stylist Verification

We may require stylists to provide proof of qualifications. We reserve the right to remove stylists who provide false information or substandard services.

7. Payments

7.1 Pricing

Consultation prices are displayed before payment. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

7.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.

7.3 Stylist Payments

Stylists receive payment after successfully completing consultations, minus our platform fee. Payment terms are detailed in the Stylist Agreement.

7.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Refunds Policy.

8. Content

8.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a licence to use, store, and display it as necessary to provide our services.

8.2 Platform Monitoring and Moderation

To maintain service quality and user safety, we reserve the right to:

• Monitor consultations and communications for quality assurance
• Access consultation content (messages, photos, and advice) for dispute resolution
• Review content to ensure compliance with these Terms and applicable laws
• Take action against accounts that violate our standards, including warnings, suspension, or termination

Platform administrators may access consultations when necessary for legitimate business purposes, including safety, moderation, support, and legal compliance. All such access is logged and subject to strict confidentiality obligations.

8.3 Prohibited Content

You must not upload content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Infringes intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or harmful code
• Is spam or misleading
• Violates anyone's privacy

8.4 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without notice.

9. Intellectual Property

The Hair SOS platform, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We provide the platform "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for advice given by stylists
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant service

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hair SOS and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with a stylist or another user, we encourage you to contact us first. We will attempt to help resolve the issue through our internal process.

For unresolved disputes, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. General

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Hair SOS
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent
